Terms of service. Draft for review.
1. The service
Karts Cloud ("Karts", "we") runs your repository's branches in micro-VMs, each with its own database and a public URL. It is in early access: it is offered by invitation, it is free, and it may change or stop.
2. Your account
You sign in with GitHub. Keep your tokens private; you are responsible for what is done with tokens issued to you or your team. Revoke a token you no longer need with karts logout or on the dashboard.
3. Your code
You keep all rights to the code and data you upload. You let us store, build, run and serve it only as needed to provide the service to you. We don't use it for anything else.
4. Environment URLs are public
Anyone who has an environment's URL can open it. Put seed or test data in environments, never real personal data, production data or secrets.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use Karts to:
- attack, probe or disrupt other environments, our hosts or anyone else's systems;
- send spam or bulk email, mine cryptocurrency, or host malware or phishing pages;
- store or serve content that is illegal or infringes someone else's rights.
If you find a security problem, report it to us instead of testing it against other people's environments.
6. No guarantees
During early access the service is provided as it is, without uptime or durability guarantees. Environments are disposable: a database in an environment is a copy, not a backup.
7. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, arising from your use of the service.
8. Suspension and ending
We may remove environments or suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts other users at risk, and will tell you why. You can stop using Karts at any time and ask us to delete your account.
9. Price
Early access is free. We will tell you before any price applies, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.
10. Changes to these terms
We will tell members by email before a change applies.
11. Governing law
To be decided before these terms are approved.
